A Lethbridge man with a history of defying court orders is wanted again, and this time, the charges are more serious.
Jonathan Milton Janes, 33, is currently being sought by the Lethbridge Police Service on warrants for sexual assault and breaching a sentencing order. Police went public with the appeal Wednesday morning, turning to the community after exhausting other avenues to locate him.
It's not the first time Janes has found himself on the wrong side of a warrant. Less than a year ago, in July 2025, LPS was searching for him under similar circumstances wanted then for breaching a conditional sentence order. He was located and arrested at the time, but the cycle appears to have continued.
Now the stakes are higher. Sexual assault warrants carry significantly more weight than a breach, and police are treating the search with urgency.
If you've seen Janes or have any idea where he might be, Lethbridge Police are asking you to call 403-328-4444 and reference file 26050119. If you'd rather stay anonymous, tips can be submitted any time through P3Tips.com no name, no callback required.

LPS regularly publishes wanted persons as part of a monthly enforcement effort targeting prolific offenders and those who've violated their release conditions. Community tips have proven critical to past arrests, and investigators are counting on the public again.
Janes remains at large as of Wednesday, February 19, 2026.
