Alberta is finally getting Wingstop. Three locations are confirmed for Calgary in 2026, making it the first city outside Ontario to get the chain since it launched in Canada four years ago.
If you've spent any time on food TikTok in the last few years, you already know what Wingstop is. If you haven't, here's the short version: fresh-cooked wings, 12 bold flavours, seasoned fries, and a housemade ranch that people are unreasonably loyal to.

Wingstop in Canada How We Got Here
Wingstop first landed in Canada in June 2022 with a single location at Bloor West Village in Toronto. The brand is operated in Canada by JPK Capital, a Toronto-based investment firm that holds the exclusive master franchise rights for Wingstop across Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
Since 2022, JPK Capital has grown to 15 locations all in Ontario, stretching from Toronto out to Kingston. Calgary is the first time the brand has pushed west.
The Three Calgary Locations
CF Chinook Centre This is the flagship. At 5,200 square feet, it will be the largest Wingstop in Canada and the brand's first official Canadian flagship. The design is completely new a live DJ booth, a reimagined interior, and a layout built for spending time, not just grabbing food and leaving. JPK Capital's COO Matt Jenkyns called it a cultural hotspot built for a younger crowd. No confirmed open date has been announced timelines were described as fluid due to a significant overhaul to the exterior of the space.
Deerfoot Meadows A second Calgary location at the Deerfoot Meadows shopping centre on the city's south end, reported via the mall's own website listing.
17th Avenue SW A third location on 17th Avenue puts Wingstop right into one of Calgary's busiest dining strips.

Will Wingstop Come to Edmonton and Other Alberta Cities?
No Edmonton or other Alberta locations have been confirmed. What JPK Capital has said publicly is that they plan to expand into other parts of Canada beyond Calgary within the next year, and that future Calgary sites are being scouted in the city's northwest and southwest. Edmonton is a natural next step given the market size, but nothing has been announced.
The Menu
Every order is cooked fresh and hand-sauced to order. Wingstop runs 12 flavours across bone-in wings, boneless wings, and tenders. The range goes from no-heat options like Honey Garlic a flavour that was actually developed in Canada and Sweet Hawaiian, through mid-range options like Lemon Pepper and Garlic Parmesan, all the way up to Mango Habanero and Atomic for those who want the full burn. Seasoned fries and housemade ranch and blue cheese dips come with every order.

The Bigger Picture
Wingstop operates more than 2,800 restaurants globally with nearly $5 billion in system-wide sales in 2024. JPK Capital's development agreement commits to a minimum of 100 Canadian locations, with plans for more than 200 across Canada and Australia over the next decade. Calgary is the start of the westward push not the end of it.
